Rotary Chassis

The rotary begins with the roller chassis assembly and heavy duty rollers are used for greater durability and reliability. 1.6 rollers are installed per unit. A double ‘I’ beam allows the rollers to glide effortlessly and with minimal wear.

Platform Drive Motors

The platform is electrically driven. Each drive unit on the rotary is easily controlled from the cups on area with manual controls for all functions; slow down, speed up and change direction. As the drive units are controlled by a variable speed drive, electrical consumption is low.

Milking Cabinets

The cabinet is a compact and low profile design and incorporates the fold-away jetter tray. The low profile allows for an open and inviting platform for the cows. The parallel stall has many advantages; efficient use of space, good cow positioning and fantastic access and visibility. Also the platform floor is sloped inwards which allows for excellent udder presentation.

Smart Retention System

The retention controller gathers information from the milk meters and cluster removers so it knows exactly whether or not to retain the cow. The retention system has three modes; On, Off and Auto. The Smart Retention System uses compressed air rams that are not linked to the ACRs which allows total flexibility of the retention system.

SmartDairy & Viewpoint

The rotary is connected to a SmartDairy Controller using HerdMetrix herd management software and collects all cows’ data and carries out feed-to-yield, drafting and auto ID. Unlike herringbone parlours, there is not a display box every unit. Instead, there is one main Viewpoint touchscreen display. The Viewpoint displays parlour activity, milk and cow data, holds and attentions alerts and sorting controls. With the Viewpoint, all the data needed by the operator is within arm’s reach.
