Drafting Gates – Positioned on the exit run of a parlour, drafting gates operate using Electronic Ear Tags (EID) or ID Collars. They can be controlled manually from a control box or from capable milk meter display units in the pit in conjunction with the SmartDairy Controller or the BouMatic Smartphone App. BGM Ireland can provide 2 or 3 way drafting gate systems. Heat Detection / Health Monitoring – The RealTime Activity system uses ID neck collars to collect data from each cow. This data includes, heat detection, feeding, rumination, walking & lying down or rest time activity. All this information can be accessed & acted upon from a desktop PC or the BouMatic Smartphone App. The system uses long range antennas without the requirement for cows to pass through a parlour ID system & operates to ISO identification standards. Herd Management Software – The SmartDairy Controller uses HerdMetrix herd management software developed by BouMatic. This herd management software centralises individual cow & herd information, including feeding, milk yield, health & treatments, heat & fertility, that can be used to control drafting gates, program feed to yield & formulated into a selection of management reports. The software can used on a desktop PC or remotely on a mobile smart device. Milk Meters – BGM Ireland offer a selection of milk metering options. Starting with the simple standalone GMI+ Milk Yield Indicator model, that provides simple basic milk yield & milk time information. There are two higher specification models offering optional interface with the SmartDairy Controller using HerdMetrix Software providing feed to yield, heat detection & drafting gate management from a PC or smart device. The AMI Milk Yield Indicator model provides Milk Conductivity & Milk Curve Graph information. The Touchpoint SmartMeter Milk Meter in addition to all the functionally of the two previous models, is ISO 66 rated, ICAR approved for milk recording, has a touch screen display & includes a sampling port.
